Translation:
I bow to the lotus feet of the teachers who have passed on this wisdom throughout time
Who call us to wake up
give insight into the happiness of pure being,
And provide us refuge. Like a jungle physician,
The teacher eliminates the delusions caused by the poison of samsara.
I bow to the sage Patanjali
Who like the divine serpent ananata has a thousand white heads
Who holds in his human hands a conch shell (the call, listening, sound),
A chakra/discus (infinite time), and the sword (of viveka or discrimination).
